These License Terms explain how you may use files, previews, models, STL files, mold files, cutter files, digital outputs, and other generated content created through CreateMold (“CreateMold,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These License Terms are part of our Terms of Use and should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any plan-specific terms shown at checkout or inside your account dashboard.

By using CreateMold, uploading content, generating files, downloading outputs, purchasing credits, or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to these License Terms.

1. Purpose of These License Terms

CreateMold allows users to upload images, artwork, patterns, logos, drawings, or other files and generate digital outputs such as previews, STL files, mold files, cutter files, and other 3D-related files.

These License Terms define what you may and may not do with those generated outputs based on your plan type.

These License Terms do not give you ownership of third-party images, copyrighted works, trademarks, brand logos, characters, designs, patents, or other protected materials. If you upload content that belongs to someone else, you are solely responsible for having the necessary rights, permissions, and licenses.

2. Key Definitions

For clarity, the following definitions apply:

  • Uploaded Content: Any image, file, artwork, logo, drawing, design, pattern, SVG, PNG, JPG, PDF, STL, or other content that you upload or submit to CreateMold.
  • Generated Output: Any file, preview, model, STL file, mold file, cutter file, design file, or digital result generated through CreateMold based on your Uploaded Content or settings.
  • Personal Use: Non-commercial use for yourself, learning, testing, hobby projects, personal craft work, gifts, or private non-commercial purposes.
  • Commercial Use: Use connected with business activity, sales, client work, paid services, marketing, commercial production, product creation, or revenue-generating activity.
  • Digital Redistribution: Selling, sharing, licensing, sublicensing, uploading, distributing, publishing, transferring, or making Generated Outputs available as digital files to third parties.
  • Physical Products: Physical items created using Generated Outputs, such as 3D printed molds, cutters, stamps, tools, templates, clay tools, ceramic tools, finished craft products, or other tangible products.

3. Plan-Based License Overview

Your license depends on the plan, subscription, or access level active at the time the Generated Output is created.

If a plan page, checkout page, invoice, or written agreement provides different usage rights, the more specific written terms will apply to that plan or purchase.

4. Personal Use License for Starter and Maker Plans

Users on Starter and Maker plans receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable Personal Use License for Generated Outputs.

Under the Personal Use License, you may:

  • Create Generated Outputs for personal projects
  • Download and store Generated Outputs for personal use
  • Use Generated Outputs for hobby, testing, educational, or non-commercial craft purposes
  • 3D print or produce Physical Products for yourself
  • Give personally made Physical Products as unpaid gifts
  • Test designs, printer settings, slicer settings, and materials for personal learning

Under the Personal Use License, you may not:

  • Sell Physical Products created from Generated Outputs
  • Use Generated Outputs for client work or paid services
  • Use Generated Outputs for your business, shop, brand, studio, agency, or marketplace store
  • Use Generated Outputs in paid workshops, paid courses, or paid production workflows
  • Use Generated Outputs to create inventory for commercial sale
  • Use Generated Outputs in advertising, product listings, business marketing, or commercial content
  • Sell, share, sublicense, publish, upload, or redistribute Generated Outputs as digital files
  • Claim that a Personal Use License gives you commercial rights

If you want to use Generated Outputs commercially, you must upgrade to a plan that includes Commercial Use rights before creating or using the relevant Generated Outputs for commercial purposes.

5. Commercial Use License for Pro and Studio Plans

Users on Pro and Studio plans receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable Commercial Use License for Generated Outputs created while the Commercial Use plan is active, subject to these License Terms.

Under the Commercial Use License, you may:

  • Use Generated Outputs for your business, brand, shop, studio, or professional work
  • Create Physical Products from Generated Outputs
  • Sell Physical Products made using Generated Outputs
  • Use Generated Outputs to create molds, cutters, stamps, templates, tools, or similar products
  • Use Generated Outputs in commercial production workflows
  • Use photos or videos of Physical Products in product listings, ads, websites, and marketing materials
  • Use Generated Outputs for client projects, if your plan allows client or studio work
  • Continue selling Physical Products created from properly licensed Generated Outputs, even if you later cancel your plan, provided you complied with these terms when the files were generated

The Commercial Use License allows commercial use of Physical Products created from Generated Outputs. It does not automatically allow unrestricted resale or redistribution of Generated Outputs as digital files.

6. Commercial Use Does Not Include Digital File Resale

Unless we give you express written permission, even Pro and Studio users may not:

  • Sell Generated Outputs as standalone digital files
  • Sell STL files, mold files, cutter files, vector files, or design files generated through CreateMold
  • Upload Generated Outputs to digital marketplaces for resale or free download
  • Share Generated Outputs in file-sharing groups, communities, repositories, or libraries
  • Sublicense Generated Outputs to third parties
  • Offer Generated Outputs as part of a competing digital file library or file-generation service
  • Use CreateMold to create a stock library, template library, STL marketplace, or downloadable asset pack

This restriction protects CreateMold’s platform, technology, workflows, file-generation system, and business model.

7. Pro Plan Commercial Use

The Pro plan is intended for individual creators, small shops, independent sellers, and single businesses that want to use Generated Outputs commercially.

Unless otherwise stated, the Pro plan allows commercial use by one user, one brand, one shop, or one business account.

Pro users may sell Physical Products created from Generated Outputs, provided that the Uploaded Content is legally usable and does not infringe third-party rights.

Pro users may not share their account, license, or Generated Outputs with multiple unrelated businesses, clients, agencies, or third-party sellers unless expressly permitted in writing.

8. Studio Plan Commercial Use

The Studio plan is intended for studios, agencies, teams, production businesses, client-based work, or higher-volume commercial workflows.

Studio users may use Generated Outputs for client projects, internal business projects, commercial production, product development, and team workflows, subject to these License Terms.

If you deliver Generated Outputs to a client, you are responsible for ensuring that:

  • Your client has the rights to the Uploaded Content
  • Your client understands that third-party intellectual property rights are not cleared by CreateMold
  • The Generated Output is not resold, published, or distributed as a standalone digital file unless separately permitted
  • Your use complies with these License Terms and any client agreement you enter into

Studio use does not allow you to resell CreateMold access, create a competing service, operate CreateMold as a white-label file-generation service, or distribute Generated Outputs as a digital file marketplace.

9. Source Image and Artwork Responsibility

CreateMold does not provide legal clearance for Uploaded Content. We do not verify whether an uploaded image, logo, character, artwork, pattern, brand asset, drawing, photograph, or design is owned or licensed by the user.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have all rights, permissions, licenses, and legal authority necessary to upload, process, convert, generate, download, print, manufacture, sell, or otherwise use any Generated Output created from your Uploaded Content.

You must not upload or use content that infringes or may infringe:

  • Copyrights
  • Trademarks
  • Design rights
  • Patents
  • Trade dress
  • Publicity rights
  • Privacy rights
  • Contractual rights
  • Stock image license restrictions
  • Marketplace, platform, or brand usage rules

A CreateMold license only defines your rights to use Generated Outputs under your CreateMold plan. It does not give you ownership of, or permission to use, third-party intellectual property.

10. Licensed Images, Stock Images, AI Images, and Third-Party Content

If you upload licensed images, stock images, AI-generated images, marketplace assets, brand graphics, public domain images, Creative Commons content, or other third-party materials, you are responsible for checking the license terms that apply to those materials.

Some licenses may allow personal use but not commercial use. Some licenses may allow digital display but not 3D conversion, manufacturing, resale, derivative works, or physical product sales. Some licenses may require attribution or may prohibit sublicensing, redistribution, or use in commercial products.

CreateMold cannot confirm whether your uploaded image is legally safe to use. If you are unsure, you should obtain written permission from the rights holder before using the content with CreateMold.

11. Third-Party Claims and User Responsibility

If a third party claims that your Uploaded Content, Generated Output, Physical Product, product listing, advertisement, client work, or commercial use infringes their rights, you are solely responsible for that claim.

CreateMold is not responsible for intellectual property disputes caused by content uploaded, selected, generated, downloaded, printed, sold, or distributed by users.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CreateMold, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, expenses, settlements, or legal fees arising from:

  • Your Uploaded Content
  • Your Generated Outputs
  • Your Physical Products
  • Your commercial use of Generated Outputs
  • Your client work
  • Your violation of these License Terms
  • Your infringement or alleged infringement of third-party rights

12. Rights Holder Requests and Legal Disclosure

If a rights holder, authorized representative, legal authority, court, government agency, payment provider, hosting provider, or other legally recognized party submits a valid complaint, takedown request, legal notice, subpoena, court order, or similar request relating to Uploaded Content, Generated Outputs, or suspected infringement, we may review, preserve, remove, restrict, or disclose relevant information where legally required or legally permitted.

Relevant information may include account information, contact information, upload records, generation logs, file metadata, transaction records, IP addresses, timestamps, download records, and other information reasonably necessary to investigate or respond to the claim.

We may provide such information to rights holders, authorized representatives, courts, law enforcement, regulators, service providers, or legal advisors when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to:

  • Comply with applicable law or legal process
  • Respond to valid intellectual property complaints
  • Investigate alleged infringement
  • Protect the rights, property, and safety of CreateMold, users, rights holders, or the public
  • Enforce our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and License Terms
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, misuse, or unlawful activity

Where appropriate and legally permitted, we may notify the affected user before or after disclosing information. However, we may not provide notice if we are legally prohibited from doing so, if notice would create risk, or if the request requires confidentiality.

13. Takedown, Removal, and Account Action

We reserve the right to remove, restrict, disable, suspend, or delete Uploaded Content, Generated Outputs, account access, downloads, projects, or related materials if we believe they may violate these License Terms, our Terms of Use, applicable law, or third-party rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in repeated infringement, serious infringement, fraud, misuse, illegal activity, or abuse of CreateMold.

We are not required to refund payments, credits, or subscriptions when an account, file, or output is restricted because of infringement, misuse, or violation of these License Terms.

14. No Rights Clearance by CreateMold

CreateMold is a technical file-generation platform. We do not act as your lawyer, rights clearance provider, copyright advisor, trademark advisor, patent advisor, design rights advisor, or licensing agent.

We do not review every upload or Generated Output for intellectual property compliance. The availability of our tool, the successful generation of a file, or the ability to download an output does not mean that your use is lawful or non-infringing.

You are responsible for making your own legal assessment before using Generated Outputs, especially for commercial purposes.

15. Derivative Works and Transformations

Turning an image, drawing, artwork, logo, or design into an STL file, mold file, cutter file, stamp, template, 3D model, or Physical Product may create a derivative or adapted work depending on the applicable law and the source material.

A transformation, conversion, resize, simplification, trace, outline, relief, extrusion, mold, cutter, or 3D adaptation does not automatically remove third-party rights from the original content.

You must obtain permission when permission is required.

16. Examples of Allowed Use

The following examples are generally allowed if your plan includes the required license and your Uploaded Content is legally usable:

  • A Starter user generates an STL from their own drawing and prints it for personal hobby use
  • A Maker user creates a mold from their own artwork and uses it for non-commercial craft testing
  • A Pro user creates a clay cutter from their own original pattern and sells the physical cutter
  • A Pro user creates a mold from artwork they own and sells finished ceramic pieces made with that mold
  • A Studio user creates client-approved production files for a client’s original artwork
  • A Studio user uses Generated Outputs internally for commercial product development

17. Examples of Prohibited Use

The following examples are prohibited unless you have all required permissions and written authorization from CreateMold where necessary:

  • Uploading a famous cartoon character and selling cutters or molds based on it without permission
  • Uploading a brand logo and selling products using that logo without authorization
  • Uploading stock artwork whose license does not allow 3D conversion or commercial manufacturing
  • Using a Starter or Maker plan to create products for sale
  • Selling Generated STL files as digital downloads on a marketplace
  • Sharing Generated Outputs in free or paid file groups
  • Creating a digital file library from CreateMold outputs
  • Using CreateMold to copy another artist’s protected design
  • Using client artwork without the client’s permission
  • Claiming that CreateMold approved, verified, or cleared third-party rights

18. Ownership of CreateMold Technology

CreateMold owns or licenses the website, software, interface, workflows, conversion systems, file-generation technology, algorithms, tools, templates, documentation, branding, logos, design elements, and platform infrastructure used to provide the service.

These License Terms do not give you ownership of CreateMold’s technology, software, source code, systems, platform, brand, or intellectual property.

You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, replicate, resell, sublicense, or create a competing service based on CreateMold or its underlying technology.

19. CreateMold Templates, Presets, and Built-In Assets

If CreateMold provides templates, sample files, presets, demo artwork, default shapes, patterns, design components, or built-in assets, those materials remain owned by CreateMold or its licensors unless expressly stated otherwise.

You may use CreateMold-provided templates, presets, and built-in assets only through the CreateMold service and only according to your plan license.

You may not extract, copy, redistribute, sell, publish, or build a separate asset library from CreateMold-provided templates, presets, or built-in assets.

20. Subscription Changes, Upgrades, and Cancellations

Your license is determined by the plan active at the time a Generated Output is created.

If you create a Generated Output under a Starter or Maker plan, that output is licensed for Personal Use only unless you later obtain a valid Commercial Use license that applies to that output.

If you create a Generated Output under a Pro or Studio plan while your subscription is active and in good standing, you may continue using that output commercially after cancellation, provided that:

  • The Generated Output was created while your Commercial Use plan was active
  • Your Uploaded Content was legally usable
  • You did not violate these License Terms
  • You do not continue using paid CreateMold features after your subscription ends
  • You do not resell or redistribute Generated Outputs as standalone digital files

Downgrading, canceling, refunding, chargebacks, payment disputes, fraud, or violation of these License Terms may affect your right to use Generated Outputs.

21. Refunds and License Validity

If a payment is refunded, reversed, charged back, disputed, or found to be fraudulent, any license connected to that payment may be suspended, revoked, or treated as invalid.

You may not continue using Generated Outputs commercially if the payment or subscription that granted the Commercial Use License is refunded, reversed, charged back, or canceled due to fraud or violation of our terms.

22. No Warranty for Generated Outputs

CreateMold does not guarantee that Generated Outputs will be error-free, printable, compatible with every slicer, compatible with every 3D printer, suitable for every material, safe for every production method, or legally safe for your intended use.

You are responsible for reviewing, testing, repairing, resizing, slicing, optimizing, and validating Generated Outputs before using them.

Actual results may vary depending on printer type, nozzle size, slicer settings, filament, resin, clay, silicone, shrinkage, wall thickness, scale, temperature, calibration, and production conditions.

23. No Liability for User Products

CreateMold is not responsible for Physical Products, business products, customer orders, product defects, failed prints, material waste, production delays, customer complaints, injury, property damage, marketplace disputes, or business losses caused by your use of Generated Outputs.

You are solely responsible for the safety, quality, legality, labeling, compliance, and suitability of any product you create, sell, distribute, or deliver using Generated Outputs.

24. License Termination

Your license may terminate automatically if you violate these License Terms, our Terms of Use, payment obligations, intellectual property rules, or applicable law.

Upon termination, you must stop using the affected Generated Outputs and, where applicable, delete or destroy copies in your possession or control.

Sections relating to intellectual property, prohibited use, third-party claims, indemnification, limitation of liability, legal disclosure, and dispute resolution will survive termination.

25. Changes to These License Terms

We may update these License Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

Changes will generally apply going forward. If we make material changes that affect existing users, we may provide additional notice through the website, account dashboard, email, or other reasonable method.
